PSA – Stop The Abuse If You Love H.E.R.
Wednesday September 09th 2009, 11:30 pm - Music

BP3This started off a Blueprint 3 review and I figured before I gave my judgement I was gonna try to do some research on the album. I started reading some online and newspaper reviews by a bunch of douche bag ivory tower power nerd wackberry tote toting wayfarer wearing nylon reading vans wearing redbull drinking indie hiphop nerd youtube shooting type…bloggers. Most of them expertly giving track by track breakdown of what references are wrong, what sample is blasphemous and what lyrics aren’t upto par.

So I thought instead I’m gonna address this critical analysis fuckery, like straight up fuckery that these educated HipHop nerds spat out like they themselves actually make music. How about you try write a hit, try make a beat and try saying something original.

I’m not expecting anyone to read this nor respond to this but the rest of the 458 word rant after the jump.

Wank Factor – Eleventy Million
Wednesday September 09th 2009, 2:28 pm - Uncategorized

converse_lanvin_1

“Lanvin has coalesced with Converse to bring the Lanvin x Converse Pro Leather ‘76 Hi to the market. The sneakers are meant to symbolically celebrate Lanvin’s 120th anniversary. The collaboration conveys heritage with its distinctly vintage look marked by its ’70s era silhouette and aged white sole. Premium white leather comprises the upper and the navy Converse emblem, Lanvin heel patch, and laces provide contrast ornamentation.
This sneaker will be released in a limited quantity of 120 pairs, another symbolic means to celebrate Lanvin’s anniversary.”

If you know me I abide by the code if it ain’t about me, I’m not about it. However! When shit like this presents itself with “100% Wank Factor”, I gotta call it out. I like some Lanvin stuff but good god don’t mess with something unless your changing it to rep your flavour. These shoes were made famous on the hardwood, worn by a bunch of ugly dudes who were more concerned about logo on their Chest than on their Shoes.

Here is a trend that should die, ” STOP TAKING CLASSICS AND CALLING IT YOUR COLLABO!”.

Rant over

Blog Shout Out – Better Never Than Late
Wednesday September 09th 2009, 1:58 pm - Random Cool Stuff

BNTL

We here at P4 don’t believe in stealing other people shit unless they doing something different..HA! The guys at Better Never Than Late stay relevant by keeping viewers in the loop about what is going down in London town, in a down to earth just doing it for the kicks kinda way. They showcase ill local artist who I assume are friends of theirs, because the interviews are always intimate and don’t come off as star struck bs you see on those big blogs.

Isn’t it good to read content that is straight forward and honest?…;-) Yaaaaaaaaaaaa herdddd!

Maestro Knows – Nando’s! LMAO!
Wednesday September 09th 2009, 1:54 am - Videos

Maestro hits South Africa, as part of the Anthony Hamilton’s World Tour with his boy B.J. The Chicago Kid. As usual (yoush-aal) he presents it in a slick way, featuring footage from A-Ham’s concert were it is evident how much music can transcend borders and language and demographics.

He takes a serious moment and reflects on some gorgeous imagery of the South African ghettos. Finally he discovers Nando’s, which if you don’t know is a Portuguese chicken joint its big in Africa, Asia and its big in Australia and its Project 4000 approved!

Anyone out there who hasn’t tried it yet lets party then recover at Nando’s? Ya dig!

Sway Runs His Town!
Tuesday September 08th 2009, 1:55 am - Music

Sway Run

“Im the British gunna man, Confused bandana man, Blood and Crip, Call me Snoop-Santana Man” – Shiiiiieeeeet

One of Britain’s nicest rappers known for dropping heavy bars with mind boggling wordplay, Sway gets on Run This Town to drop knowledge and keeps fans updated.

Sway FYI is responsible for a lot of British Rappers/Singer/Producers (Mr. Hudson, Al Shux) being big in HipHop as a whole, dude keeps a ear to the streets and every now and again delivers a solid track.

He has also worked with and has been repping British brand Maharishi long before its mainstream success and Lupe. Wish he would get his shit together jump on a decent record label and just do work.

Meantime check out his take on Run This Town and grab his mixtape from Sway Blog.

Bonus videos after the jump Sway 1 on 1 with Lupe and one of the better Michael Jackson tribute tracks “The King Full Stop”.
