Last night we ducked into The Zoo to checkout some local musicians do their damn thing including Brisbane’s own Hungry Kids of Hungary, very entertaining and a thoroughly good time was had by the P4 crew.

Tickets can be booked via Ticketek so you don’t have to risk turning up on the night only to find out it’s all booked out and you miss out on the action, and if history is anything to go by the place will be packed.
- t, c’mon it’s not like you have anything better to do than watch some women speed around smashing the hell out of each other.

Yesterday The Outpost received 3 of the new 200% Eames Be@brick figures. I’m not going to even pretend I know the slightest bit about toys in general let alone this one, so I’ll tell you what The Outpost said;
A special 200% EAMES Be@rbrick release for Medicom’s 2010 Be@rbrick Exhibition. Featuring all metal parts and articulated ball joints. A special BANDAI Chogokin collaboration featuring the EAMES Office design pattern.
Basically the Eames print looks really good in the yellow/black and being made from solid metal means it’s nice and weighty. Best of all is the price, only $160. Be quick to call the guys over at The Outpost though, after I nicked one there’s only two left!

But seriously, Laced are running a competition for all those artistic types out there. Similar to their competition a few years ago, the Vinyl Countdown competition will pit custom munnies against one another, with prizes going to the victorious courtesy of sponsors including Melbourne’s Zoe Mou.
It all culminates in a party to celebrate the release of the Dunny 2010 series as well as a show off all the entries into the custom competition. For all the info shoot over to Laced.
Glorious art work once again comes from the incredibly skilled hands of yours truly.

This past weekend Rocklea Showgrounds was buzzing with greasers, hoodlums, foxy dames and other cliche terms for nostalgia freaks at the 2010 Greazefest Kustom Kulture Festival. The weather was perfect and things were well underway by the time we arrived. Run over the whole weekend, Greazefest pays tribute to the golden age of rock and roll, and it’s refreshing to see so many people in one place all with such commitment to the style, these guys and gals really live the lifestyle. There was more brill cream than a barber shop and the ladies were looking fine.
It wasn’t just automotive porn on display, there were also some great little stalls selling vintage clothes and low brow art on the day, so those less automotively inclined needn’t be turned off. All in all it was a great day, and we can recommend checking it out next time the show rolls into town.
