Lux Bmx Store is the new kid on the block in the 4000 and let me start off by stating, this is by far the best looking store in Brisbane. The guys who run it are people who know what the fuck they are doing and doing it with focus, which more than often is missing from new upstarts. With a vast selection of core BMX gear and a good mix of casual wear and accessories its definitely not to be missed, next time you are in the Valley. I did do a interview with them but due to unforseen newbness I screwed up the footage and need to visit them again to do their lush establishment justice.

I took a trip to GOMA to checkout the “Twenty First Century Art in the First Decade” show with young Stuart, there are some really cool interactive exhibits at the moment very theme park-ish not in a bad way. I don’t have anything intelligent to say about it really, but highly recommend everyone to check it out, there are some really cool things that I wasn’t allowed to take pictures of like the live finch exhibit which is definitely a experience not to be missed.

Adam Kimmel has been doing some things that have taken my interest for some time now, not least his current collection based on the style of Snoop Dogg’s earlier years. This year also seems to be a year of collaboration for him, having already released a suit with NY based skate brand come hype mongers Supreme. I personally thought that was pretty lacklustre but Kimmel is back, this time teaming up with workwear powerhouse Carhartt.

This collection heralds the first collaboration with Carhartt’s American wing (usually it’s with the European side) and it looks like Kimmel has done the brand’s heritage justice whilst remaining true to his own style.
