Texas based store and site Nice Kicks bring a really nice simple colourway with lush long hair suede to one of adidas’ most iconic silhouettes. Plus they have a really cool concept behind the “branding” of the shoe. Check the video for an explanation behind the whole thing.

With the big man recovering from a long night, last Sunday I went and checked out the 2011 Australian Vintage BMX Show’N'Shine hosted by ozbmx, VintageBMX and Roberto’s Custom Powder. Although the weather scared a few off and forced the event to be inside the turn out was still impressive. BMX fiends from all over Australia brought their wares to show off to a more than receptive crowd. With some incredibly rare metal on display there was something for everyone… Even a DeLorean!

My personal picks were the Radberry S&M Holmes built by our mate and Dropouts founder/organiser James, Hollywood pink Hutch and Campagnolo Sheriff Star equipped Floval Flyer. All in all though the images speak for themselves, a great day.

After a string of stellar releases FEIT is back this time with their Superclean model in Kudu leather. The skin is nubuck like and has visible scratches and scars resulting from life in the wild, this creates a texture and look unlike any other especially in the grey colourway where these marks are most visible.

The reverse side of the skin is softer than the softest suede, with a lush and velvety texture, although Kudu does not need to be lined, this shoe is lined using French calf skin in order to maintain a sleek well formed toe, rather than the draping that would otherwise occur. These are now up for pre-order and there are only 60 of each up for grabs, so be quick.

Years ago Taz and I went a bit bonkers for Puma. After hoarding every colour of the Suede/Clyde family we could find, we realised that comfort had never been a strong point of the silhouette. Fast forward to 2011 and I don’t own many of the shoes I once had, however one pair that survived is an incredibly hard to find pair of teal Suedes from the 90s. Whilst I adore the shoe they’re simply too small for me meaning that they have been relegated to shelf duties, with myself being too attached to them to bring myself to part with them.

With that in mind you can imagine my reaction when I saw the teal numbers from the upcoming Shadow Society and Puma collaboration, which also sees the States namesake back in Puma’s range. Alongside them is a grey/burgundy version which almost has a flesh tone to it. If so that ticks one of the boxes of my dream colourway, something that has been in the back of my mind since reading Bobbito describe a similar colourway created by King Emz years and years ago.

These beauties will release this Friday the 26th at sneakersnstuff. Detailed pics of the teal and grey/burgundy are up now.
