Cazal 951 – Optiko, Brisbane
The elusive Cazal 951 has landed at Optiko, these babies were ridiculously hard to track down when last year they did the Yellow number and the Gold version, they have now come out in a classic colorway and are available in the 4000. WORD!
- T, wait till you see my new ones, the summers mine, the summers mine, the summers mine!
The Munny Competition – Laced, Brisbane
When?…Last night…Where? Laced Brisbane, What went down? Probably the most insane gathering of toy customizers going head to head in the The Munny Money Competition, for prizes and all out glory. Almost two years after the original competition this year marks a ginormous step up in creativity, execution and craftsmanship. Brisbane kids turned the damn thing out and tricked it up to a new level, everything from embedding lights, carving cavities, to executing super detailed paint jobs and creating props from scratch.
I need not say anymore you need jump your ass into the pictures and checkout the insanity. Thanks to the guys at Laced for letting yours truly to be part of the judging panel accompanied by vintage toy extraordinaire James Straker and graffiti legend Sofles.

Noosa Box Office – Fight Night Round 2

It would seem like the only sports we take interest in involve engines, but fact is here at P4000 every now and again we enjoy the sound of leather gloves pounding on flesh. That’s right its another Fight Night, the annual Noosa Box Office Gym event went down last night with a few national and state championships on the line. My voice is pretty damn hoarse from yelling “BULLSHIT!” from disagreeing to the final decision of the Australian Cruiser Weight Title fight but all in all good clean sportsmanship and a lot of whoopass!!
- T, always interesting photos after the jump.
Optiko – Tattersall’s Arcade, Brisbane

Ok so a while ago yours truly needed some new spectacles and while gallivanting through the city we found the mothership of Eyewear, quiet possibly the best optical store I personally have ever stumbled into. Vintage, quirky, stylish, cool, praise worthy and the most eclectic collection of eyewear as far as the eye can see (pun wholeheartedly intended). I’ve been to great stores in Paris, London, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Bangkok, but no one place has ever offered more than the 4000’s own, Optiko at Tattersall’s Arcade, Brisbane.

Domestique Launch – Chandler Velodrome

This past weekend, Brisbanites took to the Chandler Velodrome to celebrate the launch of newly established bicycle themed brand, “Domestique”. A large group of fixie heads gathered to check out the new brand, show some love and just have a damn good time. For many this was their first experience on the velodrome, whilst a few were already seasoned competitors. Along with the track there was also a few fellows that came along to oversee the velodrome newbies and offer a word of advice (or three). We went along to take some photos and drop some of our new stickers off.
Domestique is now available at The Outpost, Gear and Sneak & Destroy and a big thanks to the stores for organizing this dope day, as well as the velodrome support staff for putting up with the rag tag bunch.
- P4, lots of photos after the jump.
