Just revealed by Zagato, this is the Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa. What it really is though is one man’s personal ultimate toy. Allegedly commisioned by German collector Martin Kapp, the TZ3 Corsa is one the sexiest looking machines in a while. It seems that it takes an independant design house to create a car that hasn’t been painted green and given a theoretical powertrain that will never actually make it into production in an attempt to save face now that people have realised  pumping green house gasses into the atmosphere might not be the best idea.

With a preview of the BMW Art Car created by Jeff Koons for this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours being released just recently, my interest in this ongoing project from the Bavarian manufacturer was re-sparked. Obviously I’m a motorsports nerd and during my brief time spent studying sculpture I took an interest in the work of Mr Koons, so for me it combines two things that I quite fancy. Obviously this picture isn’t much so I’m interested to see how it turns out.

Anyway, I though it would be a nice time to share with you a retrospective of BMW’s Art Car project.

With Taz currently en-route to Sydney (I had to stay back for work) I’ve found myself quite bored with nothing much to blog about. So my only reaction is to post up a new Top Ten. I’ve tried to include prices where possible to make it a little more… relevant? Be impressed dammit! It’s all ironic considering I drive an old HiLux yet have such a passion for fine cars. Anyway, that doesn’t matter. Here’s my list of 10 cars that I would love to have in my posession. This isn’t just a list of cars I like, it’s ten cars that given the opportunity, I want to own. Truth be told, if I had to pleasure of owning just one of these I’d be mighty happy. Even the chance to drive one… now I’m getting desperate. Read on!

So many car announcements from the Tokyo Auto Show 2009 first off the high anticipated Toyota Supra Lexus LFA Supercar.

• 4.8-liter 72-degree V10 putting out 560 hp at 8,700 RPM (that’s 116.5 hp/liter) and 354 lb.-ft. of torque at 6,800 RPM
• Redline: 9,000 RPM
• Titanium valves, connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons, dry sump lubrication and a titanium exhaust manifold
• Six-speed sequential gearbox
• Torsen limited slip differential
• 3,263 pounds with a 48/52 front-to-rear weight distribution
• Power-to-weight ratio of 5.8 pounds/hp
• 65 percent of the body is carbon fiber
• 20-inch BBS wheels wrapped in 265/35 ZR20 Bridgestone tires in front and 305/30 ZR20 in the rear.
• 0-62 MPH (100 km/h) in 3.7 seconds
• Top speed of 201.94 MPH
• Production limited to 500 units
