It’s that time of year again, and I couldn’t care less about cheap nasty chocolate from China. I prefer the much less lead riddled option of The Big Picture’s yearly tradition of an advent calendar compiled from images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope.

Recently J.Crew and New Balance teamed up together to create a collection of two sneakers to sit on the shelves of the renowned US retailer’s “Liquor Store”. The first images to surface were off the 1400MG, a colourway that has been around since the 90s. Needless to say I went all nerdy and immediately dismissed this whole concept as a pointless exercise in ridding excess stock from NB’s warehouses, but alas I was proven wrong when out came a navy blue colourway which is completely new to the lineup and I like ‘em.

What’s better is they made a video and took some shots of the Skowhegan production line which can be seen after the jump. Meanwhile you can pick up the shoes online from J.Crew’s site.

If you don’t know Glen E. Friedman I’m pretty sure you’ll atleast be familiar with some of his photographs. Friedman is one of the few photographers that can truly be labelled a pioneer, standing along side a select group of dedicated shutterbugs that captured the rise of youth, from skating in dried up pools in California to hip-hop in NYC. His show; Fuck You All documents some of his most memorable works.

The video gives a short interview with the photographer himself, showcasing a few select shots in the process. You can check out Friedman’s site and blog for more info.

Its opposite week here at P4, Twiz is ranting and I am and doing a top five list, its the weather I tells ya! These are a few things that have been tickling the old trigger finger and some purchases have already been made, oh the bills, charge it pay later as they say don’t they?

It would seem like the only sports we take interest in involve engines, but fact is here at P4000 every now and again we enjoy the sound of leather gloves pounding on flesh. That’s right its another Fight Night, the annual Noosa Box Office Gym event went down last night with a few national and state championships on the line. My voice is pretty damn hoarse from yelling “BULLSHIT!” from disagreeing to the final decision of the Australian Cruiser Weight Title fight but all in all good clean sportsmanship and a lot of whoopass!!

Last night we ducked into The Zoo to checkout some local musicians do their damn thing including Brisbane’s own Hungry Kids of Hungary, very entertaining and a thoroughly good time was had by the P4 crew.
